Velux GDL Balcony Systems

The VELUX Balcony System, which includes GDL CABRIO™, GPL and GIL elements continues the long established VELUX tradition of innovation and ingenuity.

When closed, the CABRIO fits snugly to the roof just like our other roof windows. But when you open it, you open up a whole new dimension – an instant balcony with your own personal roof top view. As the lower section is moved forward into position, integral banister railings are automatically raised to provide a sturdy balcony surround. A combination of toughened and laminated glass is fitted to ensure the highest standards of safety.

Retaining the full functions of a VELUX roof window, the CABRIO Balcony opens and closes easily on powerful, spring-assisted hinges. The 180° rotation allows cleaning of the external panes from the inside. A safety bolt keeps the window in position, leaving both hands free.
